Curnell Graham

Curnell has been serving as Lead Pastor at Linworth UMC since the summer of 2015.  His primary roles include being the lead visionary of all church ministries and leading worship and preaching.  He graduated from Claflin College in Orangeburg South Carolina in 1984 and received his M. Div from Duke University in 1987.  Curnell enjoys traveling around the country and road trips.

Eugene Folden

Associate Pastor – Congregational Care

Gene has been a pastor at Linworth UMC since the summer of 1986.  Gene’s primary ministry area is congregational care, which includes the Stephen Ministry, the Stay-In-Touch ministry, the Bereavement Ministry, and visitation to nursing homes and hospitals.  Gene received a B. A. from Muskingum University in 1981, a M.Div. from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 1984, a M.A. from Miami University in 1986, and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 1994.  He enjoys gardening, walking, reading, and Maine.

Matt Yoder

Executive Pastor – Administration

Matt has been serving at Linworth since Summer 2015 and his primary ministry areas include missions, discipleship, new guest care, and communications. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2008 and his M. Div. from Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 2012. He enjoys golfing, hiking, and is an avid New Orleans Saints fan.

Jessica Cavinee

Pastor of Youth & Discipleship

Jessica joined the Linworth staff in January of 2013 and her ministry is focused on discipleship, and 7-12 grade Youth. LUMC has an active Youth Ministry, including mission trips, retreats, lock-ins, bible study, fellowship, confirmation classes, service projects, worship and fun adventures. Jessica received her B.A. at Ohio Northern University and continued learning at the Nehemiah Institute and the Caleb Institute. Outside of her ministry, she enjoys spending time with her husband and five children, hiking, reading, and cooking.

Amy Haas

Amy joined the Linworth staff in May 2018. She has 3 decades of tax, accounting, management, and business advisory experience. A native of Philadelphia, Amy began her career in the Tax Department of BDO, a national CPA firm. She also brings experience in the church, having served as Accounting Coordinator of First Congregational Church in downtown Columbus. Amy lives in Columbus and has two adult children.

Mindy Halderman

Office Manager

Mindy was raised with her 5 siblings in churches ranging from Nazarene to Baptist to Pentecostal. She also worked in Presbyterian Church that housed a Jewish Synagogue, a full gamut of exposure to the church life! Her interests and passions include running, hiking and traveling to visit her  27 year old son (Scottie) in Arizona and California.  As well as all things recovery.  Outside of LUMC she hosts a podcast, and writes, speaks, teaches, and organizes events regarding addiction and the effects it has upon the friends and families of addicts.

The effects of addiction within a family, as well as the hope of sanity and peace restored are at the heart of all she does.  (A note from Mindy: If you or someone you know if affected by addiction – needs treatment, support, relief…or HOPE – please come see me!)

 

Brenda Melchor

Brenda joined the Linworth UMC office staff in November 2016 as the Office Manager. She now serves as the Business Manager, and oversees our building logistics and church operations at LUMC. When out of the office Brenda enjoys time with her family and friends. She also has a passion for NFL football. Go Bengals!

   

Eliezer Molina

Building Supervisor

Eliezer Molina has been with Linworth since 2010.  His responsibilities include cleanliness and upkeep of Linworth UMC, including Linworth Children’s Center, to ensure a sanitary, attractive, safe and usable environment for all who utilize the LUMC building.  Eliezer likes to keep busy and enjoys working on remodeling projects and playing golf in his spare time.

 

Patrick Nyarko

Part-time Custodian

Patrick Nyarko has been working at Linworth since June 2013.  His ministry areas include cleanliness and upkeep of Linworth UMC, including Linworth Children’s Center, to ensure a sanitary, attractive, safe and usable environment for all who utilize the LUMC building. He’s an avid soccer fan, especially of Chelsea FC.

 

Alisha Artis

Director of Children’s Ministries

Focusing on the youngest “members” of the church is one of the most important aspects of Alisha’s position at Linworth.  She serves as the Director of Children’s Ministries for infant through sixth grade children.  Alisha received a B.A. in Sociology from Otterbein College and her background includes many years of working with children in different capacities.  Responsibilities in her ministry include children’s Sunday school, planning family ministry events, and supervising the childcare staff of the church.  Alisha is married to her husband Michael and has a step-son Ethan.  Fun facts about Alisha are she enjoys watching home improvement shows, baking treats for family and co-workers, and Starbucks Coffee!

 

Christine Hiester

Chancel Choir & Handbells Director

Christine became a member of the LUMC staff in September of 2016 as Music Director of the traditional service, leading the Chancel and Handbell Choirs. She loves working in the overlap between the arts and the spiritual life, sharing with others in worship as a musician and self-taught artist. Christine has Bachelor’s degrees in Music Education and Voice from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL; Master’s degrees in Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and she is currently pursuing a certification in Spiritual Direction. Christine and her husband, Jason, have four children, whom they homeschool. Her other interests are traveling (preferably in an RV), reading, writing, and seeking God in wide open places.

Tom Cook

Tom Cook has undergraduate and graduate degrees in music education from Ohio State University with a minor in church music. Mr. Cook has been the organist at LUMC since 1992 and a full- time organist at five different churches since 1967. He is retired from the music department at OSU where he was an administrative assistant for music education and bands for thirty years. Prior to this, Mr. Cook was a choral and instrumental teacher in the public schools for eleven years.

Anna Lambert

Anna is the Director of LCC and has been with LCC since 2001. She started as a teacher and then was the Program Coordinator prior to becoming the Director. She graduated from Wittenberg University with a degree in Sociology. She has many years of experience in early childhood development and programming. She and her husband have two beautiful daughters that attend LCC.
