Linworth Community,

I’ve been meditating on Psalm 103 today…

“For as the heavens are high above the earth,
   so great is his steadfast love towards those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
   so far he removes our transgressions from us.”

We’ve been talking about and practicing separating ourselves physically from one another, but even in the midst of that distance I am reminded that the only thing that God separates us from, is our sin. What a gift to remember that our community is not diminished in this time, but transformed into something new.

After the Governor’s repeated urging to halt all non-essential gatherings, church leadership (Cheryn Houston, Ad-Council Chair; Amy Brown and Karen Ahijevych, SPRC Co-chairs) has decided to close the church office. Your church staff has been diligently preparing to work remotely, and we feel confident that though things will look and feel different, we can keep our community moving forward, and  we will be monitoring both the mailbox and our voicemail regularly.

This coming Sunday, March 22nd, we will provide live-streamed worship at both 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Please find that on our Facebook page or by clicking “Worship Livestream” at the top of the page when visiting Additionally, you may also utilize our website for secure, online giving, and we will be posting bulletins in the comments of live streamed worship.

Additionally, the Bishop has encouraged us to halt in-person worship through Easter, and we will abide by his recommendation. Worship leadership will be meeting early next week to make plans for how to make the rest of the season of Lent, Holy Week, and Easter impactful from a distance. In the meantime, I hope that you keep your church community and staff in your prayers. You’ve certainly been in ours.

Draw the Circle Wide (and Wash Your Hands),
Pastor Anna
