Discover Linworth is an informational class for those wishing to learn more about: LUMC, how to get involved in the church, what it means to be a Christian, and what it means to be a United Methodist.
Why Join a Church?
You may have been attending LUMC for a few weeks, a few months, or a few years without joining. You may even be volunteering with us, attending classes, and participating in our ministries at this point, so why would you join now? Well, we may be biased, but we think joining a faith community (whether LUMC or elsewhere) can be one of the most helpful decisions you can make to keep yourself rooted in every season of life.
The act of committing to a church, is one of self care. You’re committing to nurturing your own spiritual life, to allowing a community to witness you through the good and bad, and agreeing to show up for others in the same way.
That’s why we’re inviting you to attend Discover Linworth. We think you’re important, and we want to make sure you have every opportunity to Connect to the church, Grow spiritually, and Serve with our community. By taking the class, you’ll receive a free lunch, and be eligible to officially join LUMC!
Already taken Discover Linworth?
If you’ve already taken the Discover Linworth class in the past, you may skip straight to membership! We have new member Sundays a few times a year, and those who have taken membership classes but not yet joined, are always welcome to make it official! To take the next step and commit to LUMC, or for any other questions, please contact Membership + Outreach Director, Shelby Elliott, e: email@example.com p: (614) 336-8485.

“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.”
I Corinthians 12:12-13
