As we virtually pass our candles for Christmas Eve, we’d like to offer the opportunity for all to sing Silent Night together! Contemporary Band Leader, Nick Traverso has put together a lead track to sing along to. Your voice will be blended with other, so don’t fret if it’s not perfect!
Instructions for recording using Zoom (video tutorial at the bottom):
- Gather your materials:
- Computer
- Lead track recording – Download/listen here
- Lyric sheet – View/download here
- Zoom
- Headphones
- Follow these steps:
- Open the back track and lyrics via the links above
- Plug in your headphones
- Open Zoom and start a new meeting (Join with computer audio! Video optional)
- Hit record in Zoom
- Go back to your browser & click play on the lead track. (If Zoom gives you an error, see fix below video tutorial)
- Switch to the lyrics tab.
- Sing!
- Press “Stop Recording” in Zoom
- End the Zoom meeting for all.
- Open the Google form (link below) & submit your name and the “audio_only” file that Zoom creates!
- Upload your file to this Google Form which will send it directly to Nick!
- Send it in by December 11th, and be sure to tune in on Christmas Eve. 🙂
