Meet the Staff
Rev. Anna Guillozet
Pastor Anna joined LUMC in Summer 2019. She is a graduate of Ohio Northern University, holds an M. Div degree from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio, and will complete her dissertation for her D. Min degree Fall 2020. She has previously served at Church of the Master, King Avenue, North Broadway, and the Darby Plains Parish United Methodist Churches.
Pastor Anna is married to Garrett, her spouse of 11 years, and they share in the ups and downs of parenting their 5-year old daughter. In her down-time, you’ll find her reading the latest selection of her book club or out for a run. She’s completed 3 marathons.
Pastor Anna feels passionately about building relationships and communities that are focused on the life-changing love of Jesus.
Rev. Dr. Eugene Folden
Associate Pastor – Congregational Care
Gene has been a pastor at Linworth UMC since the summer of 1986. Gene’s primary ministry area is congregational care, which includes the Stephen Ministry, the Stay-In-Touch ministry, the Bereavement Ministry, and visitation to nursing homes and hospitals. Gene received a B. A. from Muskingum University in 1981, a M.Div. from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 1984, a M.A. from Miami University in 1986, and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 1994. He enjoys gardening, walking, reading, and Maine.
Rev. Matt Yoder
Executive Pastor – Administration
Matt has been serving at Linworth since Summer 2015 and his primary ministry areas include missions, discipleship, administration, and communications. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2008 and his M. Div. from Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 2012. He enjoys golfing, hiking, and is an avid New Orleans Saints fan.
Tom Cook has undergraduate and graduate degrees in music education from Ohio State University with a minor in church music. Mr. Cook has been the organist at LUMC since 1992 and a full- time organist at five different churches since 1967. He is retired from the music department at OSU where he was an administrative assistant for music education and bands for thirty years. Prior to this, Mr. Cook was a choral and instrumental teacher in the public schools for eleven years.
Membership & Outreach Director
Shelby began serving LUMC as Membership + Outreach Director in Fall of 2017. Her background is in design and communications, and she is passionate about using those skills to strengthen the life of the church. She received digital media training at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, and is in the process of completing a B.A. in Religion at Capital University. Afterward, she plans to attend seminary and pursue ordained ministry in the United Church of Christ. In her free time, Shelby enjoys DIY projects, cooking, and spending time with her 6 year old son. Chancel Choir & Handbells Director
Christine became a member of the LUMC staff in September of 2016 as Music Director of the traditional service, leading the Chancel and Handbell Choirs. She loves working in the overlap between the arts and the spiritual life, sharing with others in worship as a musician and self-taught artist. Christine has Bachelor’s degrees in Music Education and Voice from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL; Master’s degrees in Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and she holds a certification in Spiritual Direction from the Wellstreams Program in Columbus, Ohio. Christine and her musician husband, Jason, have four children and they are all board game fanatics who love traveling in an RV whenever they have the opportunity. Her other interests are reading, writing, and seeking God in wide open places.
Rev. Brooke Hilliard
Director of Discipleship Ministries
Brooke is an ordained Deacon in the West Ohio Conference. She is a graduate of Polk Community College and the Savannah College of Art and Design. Brooke moved to Ohio in 1999 from Florida to attend the Methodist Theological School in Ohio where she earned a Masters of Arts in Christian Education. While in seminary, she served as the Young Disciples’ Minister at the former New Life UMC in the Short North. Brooke fell in love with the people of Central Ohio and the changes of season, yes, even winter, and chose to make Ohio her home.
Brooke has served congregations in the inner city, suburbs, and rural towns and most recently, The United Methodist Publishing House as a Cokesbury West Ohio Conference Resource Consultant. This school year she was blessed with the opportunity to journey with Maple Grove UMC as their Minister with Children and Youth.
Brooke has been married to her husband Jess for thirteen years. She is proud to be a fur momma to Sherman, an 11 year old pugapoo, and Annie, a 6 year old toy poodle. In her spare time, Brooke loves to create. She dabbles in fiber arts, watercolors, sketching, mixed media, and is determined to better utilize drawing apps with her IPad. Brooke also enjoys watching sci-fi and superhero movies with her husband and reading a good book.
Director of Linworth Children's Center
Anna is the Director of LCC and has been with LCC since 2001. She started as a teacher and then was the Program Coordinator prior to becoming the Director. She graduated from Wittenberg University with a degree in Sociology. She has many years of experience in early childhood development and programming. She and her husband have two beautiful daughters who both attended LCC.
Children's Choir Director
Becky Stout has had a passion for music and theater since she was very young. She loves sharing the joy of making music with children. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Baldwin-Wallace College in 2005 and her Masters in Music from Boston University in 2011. Becky and her husband, Aaron, have been members of Linworth United Methodist Church since 2012 and have their hands full raising three young children. Becky enjoys reading, baking, crafting, and playing piano.
Contemporary Worship Band Leader
Nick has over 5 years of worship/band leading experience and is very excited to get creatively involved with LUMC. He has a bachelors degree from Baldwin Wallace University (’16) in Music and in Entrepreneurship and recently moved to Columbus last Summer with his Fiance Renee. Outside of LUMC he works full time at Express in sales and inventory planning. When he’s not in the office he loves spending time with his fiance, his pets, his family, cooking, playing music, and working on the occasional DIY project.
Administrative & Support Staff
Molly joined Linworth as the Office Manager in January of 2019. She graduated from Bishop Ready High School and attended The University of Dayton. She has years of medical billing and office management experience. She is the mother of two teenage boys and has a yorkie named Gizmo. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, the Miami Hurricanes and Netflix.
Amy joined the Linworth staff in May 2018. She has 3 decades of tax, accounting, management, and business advisory experience. A native of Philadelphia, Amy began her career in the Tax Department of BDO, a national CPA firm. She also brings experience in the church, having served as Accounting Coordinator of First Congregational Church in downtown Columbus. Amy lives in Columbus and has two adult children.
Brenda joined the Linworth UMC office staff in November 2016 as the Office Manager. She now serves as the Business Manager, and oversees our building logistics and church operations at LUMC. When out of the office Brenda enjoys time with her family and friends. She also has a passion for NFL football. Go Bengals!
Eliezer Molina has been with Linworth since 2010. His responsibilities include cleanliness and upkeep of Linworth UMC, including Linworth Children’s Center, to ensure a sanitary, attractive, safe and usable environment for all who utilize the LUMC building. Eliezer likes to keep busy and enjoys working on remodeling projects and playing golf in his spare time.
Patrick Nyarko has been working at Linworth since June 2013. His ministry areas include cleanliness and upkeep of Linworth UMC, including Linworth Children’s Center, to ensure a sanitary, attractive, safe and usable environment for all who utilize the LUMC building. He’s an avid soccer fan, especially of Chelsea FC.
