Beloved in Christ,

With the announcement yesterday that Franklin County has moved back into the red in the Ohio Public Health Advisory System, we have decided to halt in-person worship for the outdoor, 8:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday, October 18th. While our safety protocols for the service have been vigorous, in consultation with the Pastors and the earlier decisions of our Administrative Council, we will not gather. We encourage you to tune in to our 10 a.m. live stream, during which we will celebrate the first baptism since the pandemic precautions first emerged. We will also have another great witness via video reminding us of how “We Are the Church Together.” Please keep your attention on the Lantern via email, the church website, and Facebook page for more information on our life together in this season of pandemic.

In the meantime, please stay safe. Mask up in public, wash your hands frequently, and limit your interactions with people if at all possible. We pray that you remain healthy and make choices that keep our neighbors healthy, too!

We miss you!

Rev. Anna Guillozet, Senior Pastor

We are excited to offer an intimate opportunity for early morning outdoor worship beginning September 13th at 8:30 a.m. outside at LUMC!

You may register using the links below, or call the church office at (614) 336-8485
(if you have to leave a message, your spot will be saved & we will follow up with you)

As weather permits we are hoping to gather outdoors for a shorter worship service that will include special music, prayers, scripture reading, a brief message and Holy Communion.

  • The service will be shorter to minimize exposure
  • There will be no congregational singing
  • Attendees need to pre-register as we are limiting the size of the gathering to 50. If you do not register, you will not be permitted to attend.
  • Everyone needs to bring their own lawn chair, their Bible and their own communion elements.
  • We are requesting that everyone wears a mask and that you remain mindful of social distancing outside.
  • We will continue to offer our online worship live at 10 a.m. We are grateful for all who recognize their current vulnerabilities and choose to stay safe at home to join us in worship online!
  • We also want to remind everyone of the importance of staying home if you have any symptoms of illness or if you have been potentially exposed.

Bearing all that in mind, please join us for this unique and Spirit led time of safely distant fellowship and meaningful worship if you are able.
