LOSS Community Services a non-profit organization, made up of both staff and a large number of volunteers – many of whom are survivors of a suicide loss. LOSS exists to be an instillation of hope to the bereaved by suicide, empowering them so they can thrive. LOSS provides resources, support, and understanding immediately after a suicide loss and for the months and years that follow.
Please join LOSS on Wednesday, January 20 at 7pm or Thursday, January 21 at 10am to become a QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer—the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide. The most widely taught gatekeeper training in the world, QPR is designed to help any and everyone learn how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, offer hope, and help save lives. Participants will learn how to intervene with an individual at-risk, persuade them to get help and guide them to the appropriate resources. The 60-90 minute QPR Training includes an hour of instruction, followed by role-playing exercises, and time for questions and discussion. Take the first step in saving lives by signing up for QPR training today.
