Connect through Worship

The first commandment Jesus gives us is to worship God above all other things: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength” (Mark 12:30).

Worship helps form us and empower us to become the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in the world. It is not enough to sing the word, it is not enough to speak the word, we must act upon the word. Linworth offers 2 Sunday worship services each with their own personality and style.

Sunday Morning at 9:00am – Traditional Worship  This worship experience is steeped in tradition with music provided by the Chancel Choir and our organist. Once a month the Bell Choir also contributes music to this worship experience. The service includes hymns that may be familiar to you, liturgy, prayers, and a sermon that will send you home with renewed hope, love, and determination to serve God with greater diligence in the coming week.
Sunday Morning at 10:30am – Contemporary Worship  This contemporary celebration includes a full band and vocalists who lead us in music you might hear on Christian radio during the week as well as some familiar hymns sung in a new way. A typical service might include a time to greet one another, a time of singing together, a featured song by the band, a relevant lesson delivered by one of our three pastors, a time of prayer, and a closing song.

Worship the Lord with gladness; come before God with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is God who made us, and we are God’s people, the sheep of God’s pasture. Psalm 100:2-3
